Exhibition Review
(Allan Stone Gallery, 48 East 86th Street): If you have ever wondered what life is like in the little semidetached houses of the 1920's and 1930's that line the road into town from London's Heathrow Airport, John Parks can tell you all about it in paintings - most of them very small - that are loaded with well chosen and significant detail. He deals with an area of tiny but immaculate gardens, houses that look as if they were made of matchboard, and grassy culverts through which the London subway gets out into the sunshine. A true poet in paint, Mr. Parks is something of a find. New York Times. Feb 19, 1982
